
2009 Rules
Note: The 2009 Rules were based on the Dallas TT5 Extreme Street Rules. Minor modifications were made to some sections as shown in red. Weight breaks were simplified. Yates heads will be allowed with a weight penalty. The Approved Head List was removed. BBC will allow any conventional head with minimum 24 degree valve angle. SBC will allow any conventional head with minimum 15 degree valve angle.
Chassis
Stock Front frame rails (must be in stock location).
Aftermarket control arms and bushings allowed as long as they bolt in stock locations.
Rack and Pinion steering allowed.
Aftermarket strut is allowed but must follow the following guidelines:
Full on race strut prohibited ( ie. Lamb or equivalent type )
Bolt in stock location with the exception of aftermarket K-Member
Strut must be comparable to QA1 or Strange style (adjustable)
Struts that changes caster and camber are prohibited
Aftermarket Coil shocks allowed
ALL replacement parts must be in stock location
K-Members allowed (late model Mustangs, Camaros and Firebirds)
K-Members must feature stock attachment locations
No part of the K-Member may be permanently attached to the chassis
Rear Frame rails must be in original stock location (minor notching allowed for tire clearance)
Mini Tubs allowed
Any rear suspension allowed, 4-links, ladder bars, etc.
Motor Plate and Mid Plate allowed
Motor must be in stock location
No traction compound spraying devices allowed.
Max 88 MM turbo inlet. Air to liquid intercooler allowed. Measurement will be a 1/16th of an inch away from the compressor wheel. If it measures more that 88 MM or if the leading edge is more than a 1/16th away from the compressor wheel then the turbo is illegal. NOTE: All turbo entries must have measuring tool and demonstrate all measurements are legal, do not show up without it or you will not be allowed to run.
Maximum supercharger F1 air to water.
No big blocks allowed with a turbo or procharger/blower.
Body
Firewall must be in stock location, minor modifications for trans, etc is OK.
Floor pan may be patched or repaired with welded in factory replacement panels.
May be altered for thru the floor sub-frame connectors, etc.No body alterations.
Headlights and taillights must be in working condition
Fiberglass limited to Hood, Bumpers, Deck Lid, front fenders or doors, limited to doors or fenders, not both. No one piece fiberglass front ends.
Forward facing hood scoops limited to 6" tall.
Drilling/cutting holes in hood for air inlet prohibited
No Pro Mod style wings
Max Wing 15" from leading edge
Lexan allowed
Interior
Two Front seats, turbo/supercharger cars may remove passenger seat for plumbing. Nitrous cars may remove passenger seat if bottles mounted in area.
Driver Seat must be mounted in front of Door Jamb
Carpeted interior
Door panels (aluminum door panels allowed)
Stock Dash (aftermarket gauges allowed)
Tires
10.9 Tread width only, NO W's. Hoosier part # 18192D05 will not be allowed. MT 28 x 10.5 W are allowed..
12.5 sidewall designation DOT Tires max not to exceed 10.9 inches of tread
Only ONE type power adder allowed
Timers and controllers are allowed.
Progressive nitrous controllers and data recorders allowed.
Dual entry plates are allowed 2 nitrous solenoids and 1 fuel solenoid. N20 solenoids must be visibly wired together, not separate, and in a single stage configuration.
Transmission
Automatic or factory equipped manual.
NO Brunos, Lencos etc.
NO Sheet metal Intakes
Must use mass produced cast aluminum intakes (no tunnel rams)
Single Carburetors only
EFI max 90 MM throttle body. 1250 CFM max
V6 Turbo may use air to liquid intercooler
F1’s or smaller can have liquid intercoolers
Max 6-71 Blower allowed
All cars must run gasoline (no alcohol or methanol)
Dry Sumps Not allowed
All big block engines limited to 10.2" deck height. BBC 427 tall deck "truck" block allowed.
Heads
Billet or custom fabricated heads prohibited.
Internal port areas of cylinder heads may be welded or epoxied for repairing, but heads must maintain standard "as produced" valve/port layout design, valve cant, and valve spacing. (no substituting canted valve for inline head, etc.)
Big Block cylinder heads must be conventional style and retain 24* style port/valve configurations. No BBC 18* heads allowed.
Small Block cylinder heads must be conventional style with a minimum 15 degree valve angle .
All valve angles will be + or - 1 deg.
No Big Chief, Big chief style or SB2 or SB2 style heads.
Porting allowed.
Yates heads will be allowed on nitrous entries, see weight breaks.
Exhaust
Mufflers Required.
No Insert or Collector mufflers.

IT IS THE DRIVERS RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE THAT ALL PIT CREW MEMBERS AS WELL AS FAMILY MEMBERS ADHERE TO THIS RULE, ANY VIOLATION WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION AND LOSS OF ENTRY FEES, IF DEEMED SERIOUS ENOUGH OR IT BECOMES A PROBLEM AT LATER RACES IT IS UP TO THE DISCRETION OF TXDRL TO BAN THE INDIVIDUAL FROM FUTURE RACES.
